Over 25 years of commercial diving experience has made GRD Franmarine an operation that the shipping industry trusts. GRD Franmarine specialise in underwater services for ship maintenance and repairs.

GRD Franmarine performs in-water surveys and inspection services, including underwater inspection in lieu of dry docking (UWILD), on a majority of shipping vessels entering Western Australian waters and requiring such services. Inspections will often require GRD Franmarine to carry out underwater CCTV video/photography services and NDT testing. The advantage to our clients being, identified underwater maintenance and repairs can also be carried out to the highest possible standard.

Associated ship maintenance and repairs services include in-water propeller refits, underwater welding, cutting, drilling and sea suction/discharge blanking.

For maintenance GRD Franmarine provides propeller polishing (Ruberts Scale), cleaning of sea suction grates, ship lifts and docking alignment.

GRD Franmarine presently holds the following class society approvals in relation to ship and offshore plate form inspection and repairs:
